Founded in 1965 in Mantua, Sisma S.p.A. is a leader in Italy in the production of hydrophilic cotton and derivatives, products for personal care, and household items. The company operates with two production plants (Bollate and Mantua) and predominantly sells its products in the Italian market. The company markets its products under its own brands such as Samurai, Cotoneve, Farmacotone, and Logex, as well as through private label channels for major players in large-scale retail.
Clessidra's entry into Sisma's capital was completed in March 2020 through the conversion of the majority of bank receivables into capital, along with the provision of new financial resources. The company's turnaround plan involves cross-cutting interventions ranging from optimizing production capacity to rebalancing the sales mix, and expanding market share through the launch of new products and entry into new countries, also through eco-sustainability development policies, which have always been a distinctive feature of Sisma products.
