Human Company is a leading Italian group in the open-air hospitality sector, with an estimated market share of approximately 10%. Through its hu openair brand, the Group operates 11 open-air properties, including villages and camping in town facilities across Italy and Europe, as well as the PLUS Florence hostel in Florence and a historic estate, Palagina, located on the edge of the Chianti area. With an accommodation portfolio of around 8,000 units, Human Company closed the 2025 season with a 9% increase in revenues compared to the previous year and total guest stays reaching 4.3 million. This represents a strong performance across the Group’s eleven properties - villages and camping in town facilities in Italy and Europe - supported by solid occupancy rates recorded throughout the spring and summer seasons.
Human Company’s growth is aligned with a strong structural expansion trend in the open-air tourism sector, which is experiencing higher growth rates than traditional tourism. This trend is driven by increasing demand for nature-based experiences and flexible accommodation solutions. The investment by Clessidra, alongside Hines as co-investor, primarily aims to support the execution of the Group’s industrial plan, which includes significant investments over the coming years. These investments are focused both on the refurbishment and upgrading of existing properties and on the development of the new hu Eraclea Mare, set to become one of the largest open-air hospitality destinations in Europe, with an expected opening in the 2027 season.
