Clessidra was founded in 2003 as an asset management company operating in private equity, becoming one of the main operators on the Italian market in a very short period of time. In 2016, Clessidra was acquired by Italmobiliare SpA, a listed investment holding company on the Milan Stock Exchange. In 2019, Clessidra initiated a diversification strategy that progressively expanded its business beyond its traditional private equity sector. Clessidra is now an independent platform operating in alternative investments, asset management, and factoring, capable of offering a wide range of products and services for institutional investors and the Italian SME sector. The Clessidra Group operates through three companies: Clessidra Private Equity SGR, Clessidra Capital Credit SGR, and Clessidra Factoring, specializing respectively in private equity, distressed and non-distressed credit sectors, and factoring.
Clessidra Holding is the parent company of the Clessidra Financial Group. It oversees coordination activities among the Group’s companies while respecting the decision-making autonomy of each individual entity. Additionally, it provides support to Group companies for activities such as Operations, Compliance, and Anti-Money Laundering, as well as coordinates the Group’s control functions.
