Clessidra Capital Credit has developed a robust and structured responsible investment system to ensure that ESG principles are integrated into the company’s operations and investment strategy, representing a fundamental part of the governance of portfolio companies.

In assessing acquisitions and divestments and in managing portfolio companies, in the constant effort to minimize risk and generate sustainable long-term returns, Clessidra Capital Credit is deeply committed to implementing ESG principles and initiatives, following a highly disciplined and structured approach in all investment phases, as summarized below:

Pre-investment

Screening

The investment team ensures that the target company aligns with the ethical values ​​of the Code of Ethics and Sustainability Policies, the requirements of the Responsible Investment Policy, and the terms specified by the Fund Regulation.

Due diligence

Due diligence activities concerning potential target companies integrate ESG aspects.

Closing

The results of the ESG due diligence process are included in the final investment recommendation document (FIR) and reviewed by the Investment Committee and the Board of Directors.

Active management

Business integrity

The investment team promotes the adoption of an Organizational Model for the prevention of crimes related to the environment, health and safety, and business practices (e.g., corruption, extortion, etc.), collaborating with portfolio companies for its definition.

ESG Strategy

The investment team at Clessidra Capital Credit provides full support to portfolio companies in managing ESG risks and opportunities. The activities of the Clessidra Private Debt Fund are strongly focused on ESG and sustainability issues. In this context, an ESG Committee operates among the fund’s bodies, tasked with approving, upon proposal of the Investment Committee, the KPIs related to ESG aspects and monitoring the sustainability performance of the fund and portfolio companies.
