Founded in 1983, Sopran Ciodue is an Italian leader in fire protection and workplace safety solutions. The group offers a comprehensive range of products and services – fire-fighting equipment, mostly fire extinguishers, fire-fighting systems and the maintenance thereof – alongside workplace health and safety consultancy and training. With sites in Trezzano sul Naviglio (Milan) and Fiano Romano (Rome), the group has exceeded €50m in revenues and employs around 200 people, supported by an extensive external network of agents and collaborators. Sopran Ciodue is the leader in the Italian micro and small client segments, with a highly fragmented base of approximately 55,000 clients, largely recurring revenues and significant cash generation.
Clessidra Private Equity's investment aims to consolidate Sopran Ciodue's leadership in a large, fragmented market driven by regulatory enforcement and growing workplace safety awareness, with profitability protected by limited price sensitivity. The thesis is built on extending the product and service offering, diversifying client types, optimising cross-selling across the existing client base and improving the efficiency of new agent recruitment, alongside a buy-and-build programme supported by a dedicated capex and M&A facility.
