Candy Factory S.p.A.
The Candy Factory Group arises from the aggregation of two historic Italian industrial realities in the confectionery sector: Casa del Dolce and Liking. Casa del Dolce, founded in 1950, is a leading company in the production and marketing of confectionery products for children. Over the years, the company has grown in Italy and abroad, accompanying the historic "Trinketto" with various types of confectionery products for every play and leisure occasion. Liking, founded in 1910, has transformed over time from a small artisanal laboratory into an industrial reality of primary importance. Today, it mainly produces hard candies, filled candies, toffees, organic candies, and tablets. Candy Factory expects to close 2022 with a turnover of approximately €45 million, a strong increase compared to 2021; over 35% of the Group's sales are made abroad. The Clessidra Private Debt Fund participated in the operation by subscribing to a loan and purchasing a minority stake in Candy Factory S.p.A.
The industrial objective of the financial and industrial partners of Candy Factory is to create an Italian hub in the confectionery sector, leveraging the complementarity of the two realities from both a production and commercial perspective. The project involves integrating the product portfolio to meet every customer need with a complete and transversal range.
