Gemina S.p.A., a company now merged into Atlantia S.p.A., is the company that controls Aeroporti di Roma S.p.A. (AdR). AdR S.p.A. manages the airport system of Rome (Fiumicino and Ciampino) and is the leading airport management company in Italy and among the top in Europe. The stake was sold in 2010.

Investment thesis

By simplifying the group's shareholding structure, Clessidra Private Equity created value by divesting Gemina's non-core assets and focusing on the core airport activities of Aeroporti di Roma, the largest Italian airport network.
