MGM was founded in 1982 with the commitment to develop and produce sports shoes for major international brands. In 1996, it was acquired by the Foglio/Congiu family, active in the outdoor footwear market for four generations. Today, MGM develops and markets sports shoes for outdoor activities through its proprietary brands. Rekord, founded in 1994, is the leading European producer of technical outdoor footwear, a reference point for major international players in the production of high-end shoes. The company operates through three production plants totaling nearly 20,000 square meters located in the Alba Iulia area in Romania.
The new Group resulting from the integration of MGM and Rekord represents the main European production hub in the outdoor technical footwear segment. The main objective is to strengthen the service offered by the production reality to current customers but also to represent a beneficial opportunity for growth and optimization of production for new potential commercial partners who will want to rely on the Group.
