Roberto Ippolito joined Clessidra Capital Credit S.G.R. in 2021 as Managing Director and Head of the Investment Team.
Roberto has 20 years of private capital experience in sourcing, structuring and investing €1bn ca in 50 deals in all parts of the capital structure (senior debt, junior debt and equity) of Italian SMEs across several industries and 3 years’ management consulting experience (with focus on business due diligence).
Former Managing Partner at RiverRock Italian Hybrid Capital Fund and previously Head of Leverage Finance at General Electric Capital Italy, Roberto has held managerial roles at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, DAM Capital (Anschutz Group) and Bain & Co. He also held junior positions at Goldman Sachs (Merchant and Investment Banking) and Istituto Mobiliare Italiano (Merchant Banking).
A Fulbright and British Chevening scholar, Roberto holds a MBA from the University of Chicago, a MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick and a BSc in Economics from LUISS University. He is qualified as a CFA and CPA in Italy.
He is Professor of Principal Investing at the Guglielmo Marconi University.
