Prenergy Ltd
Prenergy Limited (UK) is the parent company of Prenergy Power Limited (UK), the company established to develop the world's largest biomass power plant project (up to 350 MWp of installed capacity), to be built in Port Talbot, Wales. Changes in the UK government's incentives for renewable energy projects made the Port Talbot power plant project no longer feasible. The company was liquidated in 2013.
Clessidra Private Equity's goal was to develop a leading operator in the renewable energy (wood chip) market. Furthermore, there was the possibility of (partially) realizing the investment in a short period of time through the sale of the project for the plant in Wales and/or through the listing of the GWH holding.
